Quick Capture

On macOS, use a global shortcut to open a temporary capture window and quickly write a note. Captured notes are added under the node selected as the Quick Capture destination (Inbox by default) (#18).

Set up Quick Capture

1. Open Settings > Capture > Quick Capture.
2. Enable Quick Capture and assign a global shortcut.
3. Press the shortcut from any app to open the capture panel.

The panel opens with a new empty row under the destination. Enter the note there; pressing Enter can continue the capture with additional rows. When you finish and close the panel, the captured content remains in the shared outline and an unused empty capture row is removed.
