Getting Started

Kosshi is an outliner for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. See Articles for outliner concepts and Kosshi's design.

What is Kosshi?

Open the app and start writing. Everything goes into a single outline. You organize it with indentation, row movement, collapsing, and search.

Basic Usage

  1. Open the app to see an empty outline
  2. Type text, then press Enter to add a new row
  3. Tab to indent, Shift+Tab to unindent
  4. Cmd+↑ to collapse a section or jump to its parent; Cmd+↓ to expand
  5. Ctrl+Cmd+↑/↓ or Cmd+Shift+↑/↓ to move rows up or down

Key Features

  • Designed to remain responsive as the number of rows grows
  • Common editing and navigation operations are available from the keyboard
  • Collapse sections to show only what you need
  • Search with Cmd+F, or find and replace with Cmd+Option+F
  • Palettes (Cmd+Shift+M / F / B) for moving rows, navigating, and jumping to bookmarks
  • Find Action (Cmd+Shift+A) to search and run almost any command from the keyboard
