KosshiKosshi

This guide is for 1.21 Beta. The released version is 1.20.

Tags

Kosshi supports two types of tags: # and @.

Tags used in rows also appear in the sidebar.

#

Type #tagname anywhere in a row. Multiple tags can be added to a single row. Use / for nested tags like #work/project.

Tags appear in the sidebar. Click a tag to show only rows that contain it.

@

Type @tagname for a tag without a value, or @tagname(value) for a tag with a value. For example, a row containing @status(done) can be found with @status:done in Search.

Examples: @done, @status(done), @priority(high), @assignee(Alice)

Search by tag values and dates

For example, a value such as @status(done) can be searched with @status:done. Use @deadline:today for today’s @deadline items, or date:today to search today’s dated tags across all tag names.

For date formats, ranges, and other details, see Search Reference.

Sync with Reminders & Calendar

Any @tag with a date in parentheses can sync to Apple Reminders or Calendar. Choose the destination in three steps:

  1. Open Settings > Integrations > Calendar & Reminders.
  2. Choose Reminders or Calendar as the destination for dated @tags.
  3. Choose the Reminders list or calendar to use.
FormatExample
Month/Day@todo(3/15)
Year-Month-Day@due(2026-03-15)
With time@due(2026-03-15 10:00)
Recurring@meeting(every monday 10:00), @standup(every 2 days 9:00)

The tag name can be anything. As long as the parentheses contain a date, it syncs.

  • With Calendar selected, a time creates a 1-hour event and a date alone creates an all-day event. With Reminders selected, the date and optional time become the reminder's due date.
  • Completing a row disables the alarm automatically.
  • Right-click a dated @tag to open it in Reminders or Calendar.

For a deeper look at task management and Reminders integration with @tags, see Task Management with an Outliner.
