KosshiKosshi

This guide is for 1.21 Beta. The released version is 1.20.

Internal Links

Kosshi supports links between rows in an outline and links that open a row from another app.

Link to Another Row

Type [[ to insert a link to another row in your outline. A searchable preview appears so you can pick the target row.

Links to rows containing tables, code blocks, and other structured content use labels such as Table or Code Block. To assign a different display label, right-click the link or press Control+Enter on macOS. On iOS, touch and hold the URL text.

Preview on hover

Hold the pointer over an internal link to see the destination row and its parents. On iPhone and iPad, touch and hold the link.

To stop showing the preview on hover, turn off Settings > Appearance > Content > Advanced > Show Internal Link Preview on Hover.

Copy a Row Link

Choose Copy Row Link from a row's context menu to copy a link to that row. Paste the link into another app to open the row in Kosshi.

Find backlinks

Turn on Settings > Appearance > Content > Show Backlinks to show a number beside a row when other rows link to it.

The number beside a row shows how many rows refer to it.

Select the number to search for the rows that reference the row. The result highlights the linked text, and selecting a match takes you to the source row.

Selecting the count opens Search with the backlink condition applied.

You can also type backlinks: in Search and choose a target from the suggestions. This is useful when you want to build the condition directly. The target is shown by its current title, while the search keeps following the row if its title changes. Use Back to return to the previous search or location.
