Appearance

You can change the editor's appearance in the General tab of Settings.

Theme

Choose from System, Light, or Dark. System follows your OS setting.

Font Size

10pt to 36pt.

Font Family

Choose separate font families for regular text and code blocks.

Line Height

1.0em to 2.5em.

Row Spacing

0 to 1.0em.

Line Width

Set a maximum width for text on large screens. When the window is wider than this limit, the outline stays centered.

Other Options

• Sidebar Font Size — changes the text size used in the sidebar
• Always Show Markdown Symbols — keeps markers like ** visible even when the cursor leaves the row on macOS
• Show Indent Guides — shows vertical lines indicating indentation levels
• Show Sidebar Tags — shows or hides the Tags section in the sidebar

Typing

The Typing tab in Settings provides separate switches for spelling checks while typing, smart quotes, and smart dashes. These options are off by default.
