Manual Backup

You can create a full backup of your outline that includes images and file attachments. This is available on Mac.

Auto backups are created automatically, but they contain only text data. Manual backup saves everything into a single ZIP file.

What's Included

• All outline rows (text, structure, metadata)
• Images and file attachments

How to Export

1. Open the File menu in the menu bar
2. Choose Export Backup
3. Choose a location to save the file

The file is saved as KosshiBackup-YYYY-MM-DD.zip.

How to Restore

1. Open the File menu in the menu bar
2. Choose Import Backup and select the ZIP file
3. A preview window opens showing the backup contents
4. Choose one of the following:
   • Restore — replaces the current outline entirely
   • Import as Node — adds the backup contents as a new section without replacing existing data
