Find and Replace
You can search and replace text across your outline, and filter results by status, date, or attachments.
Text Search
Press Cmd+F to open the find panel. The panel shows the number of matches and lets you navigate between them.
| Shortcut | Description |
|---|---|
| Cmd+F | Open the find panel |
| Cmd+G | Go to the next match |
| Cmd+Shift+G | Go to the previous match |
| Enter | Go to the next match (while in the find field) |
| Escape | Close the find panel |
Filters
Type filter prefixes in the search bar to narrow results:
| Prefix | Example | Description |
|---|---|---|
is: | is:bookmarked | Filter by status |
created: | created:today | Filter by creation date |
modified: | modified:today | Filter by last edit date |
has: | has:image | Filter by attachments |
Use created-after:, created-before:, modified-after:, and modified-before: for date ranges (for example, created-after:2026-01-01).
The funnel menu in the search bar lists available filters.
Replace
Press Cmd+Option+F to open Find and Replace.
- Replace — replace the current match
- Replace All — replace all matches at once
Find Palette
For jumping through the outline hierarchy, use the Find palette (Cmd+Shift+F). It is for navigating structure, not searching text within rows.
