Find Action
Find Action lets you run almost any Kosshi command from the keyboard. Type a few characters, choose a command, and press Enter to run it.
Press Cmd+Shift+A to open Find Action. On iPhone and iPad, the same shortcut works with an external keyboard.
What You Can Run
Find Action lists executable commands from across Kosshi:
- Formatting — bold, italic, tables, code blocks, internal links, and more
- Outline — indent, move rows, fold and expand, duplicate, and bookmark
- View — sidebar, font size, hide completed rows, keep window on top (macOS)
- Search — open row filter, text search, replace, save the current search
- Navigation — focus a row, jump to parent, open Move to or Find palette
- Settings and help — open a specific settings tab, keyboard shortcut reference, guide, or release notes
Each result shows its category and current keyboard shortcut. Select a command to see a short description at the bottom of the palette.
Basic Usage
- Press Cmd+Shift+A
- Type part of the command name
- Use ↑ and ↓ to move through matches
- Press Enter to run the selected command
- Press Esc to close without running anything
On macOS, double-click a result to run it. Right-click a result to run it from the context menu.
Search Tips
Find Action uses fuzzy matching, so you do not need the exact menu name. It also understands common synonyms:
- fold → Collapse
- pin → Keep Window on Top
- todo or done → Toggle Complete
- icloud → Refresh Sync
On a Mac or iPad set to a language other than English, you can search using either the localized or English command name. Click the book icon in the search field to toggle between localized and English command names.
Context-Aware Results
The list adapts to what you are doing:
- Table commands appear when the cursor is in a table
- Replace commands appear when replace is available for the current search
These context-dependent commands are shown only when they are available.
