Notes

A note adds supporting text below a row without creating another outline item.

Notes keep supporting details with their row.

Add a Note

Select or edit a row
On Mac, press Shift+Enter. On iPhone, tap Note in the keyboard toolbar
Enter the supporting text

You can also choose Add Note from the row's context menu. Use the same action again to move between the topic and its note. Notes can contain multiple lines and Markdown.

Find and Display Notes

Use has:note to find rows with notes. Add in:note to search only note text.

By default, a note shows its first line when you are not editing it. Use Show Full Notes in the top-right menu to show every note in full. You can change the default under Settings > Appearance > Display > Note Display.
