Sidebar

The sidebar shows bookmarks, tags, and the outline tree.

Navigating

• Bookmarks appear at the top when at least one row is bookmarked
• Tags let you filter rows by # or @ tag
• The outline tree lists rows so you can scroll to any section

Click an item to jump to the matching row in the editor.

Drag and Drop

• Drag rows within the sidebar to reorder them
• Drag rows between the sidebar and the main editor to move them to a different location

On macOS, you can also drag rows between open windows editing the same document. See Windows for opening rows in separate windows and combining windows into tabs.

Context Menu

• On macOS, right-click a sidebar item
• On iPhone or iPad, touch and hold a sidebar row

The menu provides actions for the selected row, including deleting it. On macOS, Open in New Window opens that row in a separate window.
