Workspaces
When you work on several projects at once, you may want to keep a layout such as split panes. Save the layout as a Workspace, and you can switch between projects as you work.
A Workspace saves the panes, the zoomed row and search in each pane, and the state of the sidebar. Switching changes only the view. The outline itself does not change.
Save a Workspace
Set up the screen you want, then choose Save Workspace from the … menu. Later changes are saved to that Workspace automatically.
Switch Workspaces
- Click the Workspace name at the bottom left of the sidebar and choose from the list
- Press Ctrl+Tab or Ctrl+Shift+Tab to switch to the next or previous Workspace
The state before you save a Workspace appears as Default at the top of the list.
Rename or Delete
Right-click a Workspace in the list (touch and hold on iPhone and iPad) to rename, duplicate, reorder, or delete it. Deleting a Workspace does not delete any rows.
Stored on Each Device
Workspaces are stored on each device. They are not synced through iCloud and are not included in backups.
